Waiting for Patience

The Christmas season has come to my house. I love having my tree up so much that it didn't get put away until Ash Wednesday last year ... I could blame traveling, but that wouldn't be the whole truth... Anyway, I put my tree up on Sunday after I started Advent with Mass. I know it's a little early. I used to have a rule that decorations didn't go up until after the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, but last year someone gave me a tree on Thanksgiving weekend and I had to get it out of my hallway. I mean, I couldn't trip over it for two weeks. Plus since I traveled for about half the time it was up last year, I needed  more time before Christmas to enjoy it. I promise to leave it up until at least February 2nd - the last acceptable day to have Christmas decorations up as it's the Feast of the Presentation. This year as I was putting up my Nativity, a few mishaps happened. Well, a few years ago one of my wise men lost his head. Then last year another...

YEAH!   Thanks for visiting over here if you're just checking out the girl with the cool graphic design (that about as awesome as I get)!  Hope you stay awhile! --- 1 --- It's been a rough couple of weeks, so I abandoned the blogging effort in loo of other exciting activities like sleeping, temperature reducing, nose blowing, medicine taking, funeral attending, and then the glorious time of family visiting sandwiched in between lots and lots of driving and Christmas & New Year's Celebrating!  So now that I'm healthy, it's 2015, and Friday, I'm back to link up with Kelly over at This Ain't the Lyceum  for 7 Quick Takes.  I make no resolutions to be back on a regular basis, but I have a feeling that practicing my writing skills and showcasing my amazing photography are going to be habits I work on for 2015.  Maybe! --- 2 --- I was able to spend 10 days home in Saint Marys...

--- 1 --- I was looking for a dance floor on amazon.com today to purchase for our big festival and this was on my amazon homepage.  Apparently I viewed  some men's sandals and now they are suggesting these other items and even these men's running shoes.  And amazon thinks I'm a coin collector.  Who's been searching in my amazon.com account? --- 2 --- Speaking of funny things.  The contractor for my house, Ben, called on Wednesday to tell me the floor install was going to be delayed a few days because they had to put down leveler  to even out some bumps in the foundation before they glue the wood down.  This (writing on Thursday evening) morning I text him "After they put the leveler down, so I have to stay off the entire floor?  Checking if I can do something upstairs tonight?"  He says "Just where the leveler is."  So I head over to the house before work to pick up the dirty blankets that have been hanging out on my b...
